SCHH Community Guide

What this is

The Community Guide is free for every resident, independent, and built by residents — and it has real ongoing costs: AI services, hosting, search, development tools, domains, and email delivery, which add up every month and grow as more residents use the guide. Sponsor support covers those operating costs first; what remains funds continued development and the time that goes into it.

Support is entirely optional. Nothing in the guide is ever gated on payment, and the guide will never ask you for money — this page simply exists for those who want to help.

Business sponsors

Business sponsors receive the labeled Featured placement at the top of their category in the vendor listings, and a listing here. Sponsorship is open only to businesses already on the resident-recommended vendor list — placement elevates an earned listing; it never creates one. Sponsorship is not endorsement and buys no influence over the guide’s content or answers.

Friends of the Guide

Residents who support the guide are acknowledged here — first name and neighborhood at most, and only with their permission (anonymous is the default, and most common). This list is just getting started.

Become a sponsor

Residents: any amount, one time, entirely voluntary:

Support the Guide (PayPal)

Businesses: Featured sponsorship is $200/year (or $20/month), flat for every category, limited to two Featured vendors per category. Contact the guide to get started — you’ll receive a regular PayPal invoice for your records.

Charter Sponsors: businesses and residents who join before December 31, 2026 (or the first ten business sponsors, whichever comes first) carry a permanent Charter Sponsor designation on this page, and charter businesses keep today’s rate for as long as they remain sponsors. Same placement, same rules as everyone — being first is the only thing that can’t be bought later.

The fine print

  • The guide is an independent resident project, not a charity — support is not tax-deductible.
  • Sponsorship is not endorsement, and never affects the guide’s content, chat answers, or vendor reviews. The one thing it buys is the clearly-labeled Featured placement.
  • The guide stays free for every resident regardless — that is the point of all of this.
